What is PTSA?
In the United States, public schools are not fully funded by the federal or state governments. To fill in the gaps and address unmet needs, schools often establish a PTA (Parent Teacher Association), or in some cases, like Discovery Elementary, a PTSA (Parent Teacher Student Association).
Discovery Elementary PTSA Mission Statement
The Discovery Elementary PTSA is non-profit organization, comprised of volunteers, who devote time and resources to organizing events, fundraisers, and educational programs that benefit the school community.
Our mission is to advocate, support and enrich our students with educational programs and community building activities in partnership with teachers, staff, parents and the local community.
