Why do we hold a fundraiser?
In the United States, public schools are not fully funded by the federal or state governments. To fill in the gaps and address unmet needs, schools often establish a PTA (Parent Teacher Association), or in some cases, like Discovery Elementary, a PTSA (Parent Teacher Student Association).
Discovery Elementary PTSA Mission Statement
Our mission is to advocate, support and enrich our students with educational programs and community building activities in partnership with teachers, staff, parents and the local community.

To celebrate and mark the end of our fundraiser we will be holding two major events for our school community!
October 23

Save the Date! We will need parent players and volunteers. Stay tuned for more information.
October 24

Come celebrate Halloween and the last day of the fundraiser at the BOOgie Bash! There will be dancing, food and fun soccer themed games.
Does every penny I donate go to the PTSA?
We use LumaPay to process all transactions. LumaPay takes 2.89% + $0.30 per transaction.
Feel free to write a check made out to the Discovery Elementary PTSA if you'd like to avoid the transaction fees. Checks can be dropped off in the school office.
